The Wild Unknown

The Wild Unknown is a line of handmade objects crafted with care in Brooklyn, New York. Our work is based on the creatures and forms of the natural world, as well as our favorite songs and musicians. Though made in the city, the objects are inspired by summers spent in the Catskill Mountains and on the shores of Lake Superior. We hope your Wild Unknown items bring you moments of solitude and wonder, wherever you are.

if my life was a movie: Annie Hall

Found this entry from Bakerby a.k.a. Cecilie Askov, to be quite spot-on with what I would choose.

If my life was a movie I would want it to be one Woody Allen directed. One with lots of quick dialogues and witty and reflective monologues.

I would stroll the streets of Manhattan all day long, walk the dog, stop by a diner, have a cup of coffee and read the paper. Bump into random friends I hadn’t seen in years who would tell me their life stories and intimate secrets.

Every night I would go to a dinner party at some intellectual couples downtown apartment. Every night a new couple, and I would meet their friends who would confess about their love affairs and perverse proclivities in the kitchen.

Later when I'd be back home sitting by an open window, feeling the summer night breeze, chain smoking cigarettes and writing poems, the phone would ring and it would be one of my male acquaintances asking me to watch the sunset with him from the roof of an old chevy.

Wool and the Gang

Wool and the Gang is the story of a family, a know-how transmitted to the next generation, re-invented, self taught, a bond between gang members, a gang of knitters, guys and girls from 7 to 77 years old, all tied together by a piece of yarn.

Heavy Accents Mixtape: Scream With Your Feet

Scream With Your Feet brings my mixtapes back to the '00s since the last few retro ones I've been putting out and also marks the last mix I'm going to be putting out for the remainder of the year. The sound represented in SWYF also marks the intersection of my musical influences past (see Rhythm Life, Disco Desire Vol. 1 & 2) and present.

A few highlights include: Neon Indian, Moulinex's Two Door Cinema Club (discover this band if you haven't yet!) remix, Lindstrøm & Christabelle's latest collaboration remixed by Aeroplane, Friendly Fires' house-friendly remix of Phoenix, Chromeo's new retro-future single and Rubix's ridiculously fun disco filler-house track "Baiser Sur La Disco".

Until 2010, enjoy this with your Holidays and let your feet scream a little.

TRACKLIST:
1. Neon Indian - Deadbeat Summer
2. Logo - Junocide
3. Phoenix - Fences (Friendly Fires Remix)
4. Jack Frost & The Circle Jerks - Shout
5. Lindstrøm and Christabelle - Baby Can't Stop (Aeroplane Remix)
6. Bag Raiders - Shooting Stars (In Flagranti Remix)
7. The Scare - Could Be Bad (G.L.O.V.E.S Remix)
8. Database - A French Winter
9. Two Door Cinema Club - I Can Talk (Moulinex Remix)
10. Metronomy - Heartbreaker (Discodeine Remix)
11. Chromeo - Night By Night
12. Metric - Sick Muse (Adam Freeland Remix)
13. The Juan Maclean - One Day (Surkin Remix)
14. Rubix - Baiser Sur La Disco (Rubix Refix)
15. Fake Blood - I Think I Like It
16. Vitalic - Poison Lips
17. Riton & Primary 1 - Who's There?
